A World Full of Guile

Jesus showed the disciples that he spoke the truth.  He desires the best for people.  He made the statement that all others are thieves and robbers.  Jesus sets himself apart as one who has our best in mind.

One who speaks truth to you has your best in mind.  One who lies to you is nothing but a thief and a robber.

John 10:7-11
7          Jesus therefore said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8          "All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9          "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10        "The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.
11        "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
(NAS)

Have you been hurt by another’s deceit?

What was the impact on you?

What is wrong with a life based on guile?

Big word “Trust”  Where there is lying, there is no trust.  If you want to be a person others can trust, be like Nathanael and be a man without guile.
