What About Bob? Below you can get to know a little about me and my family.
I was born in Colombia South America where my parents worked. As a child I lived in Tennessee til 2nd grade and we then moved to the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC. I went to the University of Maryland from 1968-1972 and received a degree in Human Resources. My time at UMD set some spiritual foundations for me. Those foundations are reflected all through this website. I Received my MA in Christian Counseling from the International School of Theology in 1987. In 1972 I went to my first job in Southern California where I met my wife, Bev, who was working as a secretary at the same organization. We got married in 1975 and have lived in Texas, Kenya, California, Washington DC, and Ohio. We have two daughters Sara and Comfort. Sara works with a Humanitarian Aid organization in Kazakhstan, and Comfort lives in Montana with her husband, Steve, and has her own graphic arts business. Steve is working on his doctorate at Montana State University. My life has been full of relationships that have inspired and strengthened me. I hope in a small way I can pass on to you what so many have built into my life. I am grateful to my father and mother Dr Wade and Jane Coggins, who live what they profess. My dad is a stable, godly, man who modeled for me integrity and wisdom. My mom has an infectious love for the Lord. She sacrificed a lot in her life and it was “all for Jesus.” They live in a retirement center in Carlisle, PA. I am also grateful to the late Dr. Bill Bright, who founded Campus Crusade for Christ, an organization for which I worked for 28 years. I received so much from so many individuals and friends I worked with over that span of time.
