Types of Heart:  The Good Heart

 

God yearns for us to have a heart that is faithful--the reason:  he wants to bless us.

A good heart is pure

Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 

A beautiful description of what a pure heart thinks about:

Phil. 4:8 
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice.

A good heart is gentle and humble:

Matt 11:29
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  (NIV)  

Gentle means tractable, docile; not harsh, stern, or violent; mild, soft and delicate.  We can actually learn from God’s heart.  David was said to be a man after God’s own heart.
